J. Bohler Designs . . . I'm Julie and I'm a graphic artist originally from beautiful Colorado who specializes in print and identity design. I have a BA in Marketing along with an emphasis in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin - Parkside.

One of my biggest passions in life is print design. I absolutely love what is capable with ink and a blank piece of paper as well as the challenge of making what people see through design continually breathtaking. I have a simple, unique and artistic style to my designing and a business and marketing mind to make sure that every piece is perfect for that specific person, target market and industry.

The Design Process . . .

Research . . This is the first step where I need to find out all about your needs, your organization, your competition, your likes and even dislikes. Before I can even sit down at the computer and design, I need to do my research to make sure I'm heading in the right direction. One of the first places we start is with the Creative Brief which helps us begin asking the right questions.

Concepts . . Once I have found out all I can about the direction and needs of the final design, I begin conceptualizing ideas. Nope, not on the computer yet, but in my head and on paper. This is a crucial stage in the creative process as to help minimize the actual design time on the computer. Also in this step if applicable, the paper and the commercial printer used to print the final piece are selected.

Designing the concepts . . Ok, now I'm on the computer designing concepts that you will see and that we will tweak and revise until we reach a final concept. But we're not quite finished yet.

Finalizing the design . . At this point we are making the final revisions to the design and selecting final colors. Once you are happy with the final design we move on to printing.

Saving the files . . the final designs are prepped for commercial and/or home or office printing.
